The street was humming, a dull roar in the background of his grinding cogs of a brain. The smoke seethed from his grimaced lips as he saw the blonde figure of his crackshot walk up and slip alongside him.

He took the cigarette from Jim’s lips and took a logn drag.

“Thought you quit.”

“Thought you were dead.”

For the first time in months, since The Fall, his black eyes smiled along with his lips. Genuine. As the smoke in his lungs. As the cry of the crowds, the man standing beside him.

Seb caught his smile and thought to himself,
